Appeals for Admissions, Modifications, and Waivers for Students with Disabilities Policies Florida International University
Purpose: The following policies will be followed to meet the needs of eligible students with disabilities. In implementing the policies, academic standards shall not be compromised, and accommodation of students with disabilities shall not mean that course content is diluted. Students with disabilities are encouraged to request any necessary accommodations prior to the beginning of the semester.
Student Appeals
Students who disagree with decisions on admissions, testing, and course substitutions/waivers may file a complaint under the provisions of the Florida Educational Equity Act, through DRC.
